Services
Seven services, one system underneath
Each page explains the work, the standards it is tested against, and the questions worth asking, then connects you with an independent local roofing professional.
FORTIFIED Metal Roof
The flagship: pairing certified panels with a sealed roof deck so the re-roof earns the FORTIFIED designation and the insurance treatment behind it.
Standing Seam Metal Roofing
Clip-fastened concealed-fastener systems, UL 580 and UL 1897 testing, and what coastal-grade standing seam runs installed.
Metal Roof Replacement
The re-roof decision itself: tear-off versus overlay, timeline, and what a coastal metal replacement involves start to finish.
Sealed Roof Deck Retrofit
The layer that does the quiet work: taped seams, sealed underlayment, and ring-shank re-nailing while the deck is open.
Oceanfront Aluminum Roofing
For homes near breaking surf, where Galvalume warranties stop applying and aluminum becomes the default answer.
Metal Roof Repair
Planned repair and maintenance: fastener back-out, flashing, and panel damage, handled before they become deck damage.
Roof Wind Mitigation
The insurance-driven entry point: what wind mitigation means in North Carolina and how the endorsement path works.
Not sure which page fits your project? Start with the North Carolina FORTIFIED Metal Roof Guide. It maps the whole decision, from the three designations to salt-air materials, and routes you to the right service from there.
What it costs, and what happens after you send the form
- What does a metal roof cost in the Wilmington area?
- Installed standing seam for coastal-grade work runs roughly $12 to $20 per square foot, so a 2,000 square foot roof prices between about $24,000 and $40,000, with larger or complex coastal homes reaching $60,000. That range reconciles three published source families and is set out on our Wilmington cost guide. A FORTIFIED roof adds about $1,000 to $3,000 plus $275 to $600 in evaluation fees, per IBHS. Treat these as ranges to weigh a bid against, not quotes and not our prices.
- How fast will someone get back to me?
- Calls and form submissions reach Compass Camper LLC directly. We read the request and pass it to an independent licensed local metal roofing contractor, usually within about an hour during the day. They then contact you to look at the roof and price the work on their own schedule.
- What work is covered?
- Standing seam metal roofing, metal roof replacement, repair, FORTIFIED metal roof, oceanfront aluminum roofing, wind mitigation, and sealed roof deck retrofit.
Only the independent licensed contractor we send your request to can price your actual roof. Compass Camper LLC does not perform roofing work and does not quote it.
